• Cross-contamination risk exists because this is not a dedicated gluten-free facility. The buns are gluten-containing, and some toppings or sauces may be contaminated if not handled with strict separation.
• Fries are often treated as the gluten-free item, but there have been reports of variations in practice (e.g., some locations or instances where fry handling wasn’t clearly separated). When a burger is ordered without a bun, staff are frequently observed changing gloves and using separate prep spaces or utensils.
• Peanuts are sometimes present in the dining area and peanut oil is used for frying; this is a separate safety consideration for people with peanut allergies.
• Overall, the evidence emphasizes careful, proactive communication and strict glove changes, but due to the chain-wide variability, a zero-risk guarantee cannot be given.
